Hospitality: the future of hosting

  • Arredamento :

The post-pandemic period has to be elaborated by interpreting the signals to innovate.
It is necessary to analyse the expectations of users to understand the new reception models to host.

Password no rigidity in services. A fundamental role is given to design because if the aesthetic form remains important, we must consider the quality provided by environmental sustainability, avoiding greenwashing.
The design will be “bespoke” in response to the selectivity that has left the Covid. Not photocopy hotels but with particularities related to the place. To seek harmony without boring, the detail that arouses curiosity. To communicate art and culture.

In real estate, there are investment opportunities in places so far little considered. Thanks to the use of technology, the territory is rediscovered differently. A macro trend that can be pointed out is the opening towards the landscape, towards nature. Modular rooms are positioned towards the panorama with direct and private contact thanks to the design of large windows. It reduces the size of the lobby and common areas.

In the 1800s, the hotel was a precursor of systems that have revolutionized our way of life by introducing the elevator and central heating. Today it will be the precursor of new technologies in services to meet the unique needs of users.

The macro trend that can be outlined is that of workation. During the Covid in video calls, we were no longer asked, “where do you work from?”. Today the work station is relocated, the demands of long-stay increase. This allows the hotel to receive a diverse audience. The structure characterized by a large hall and meeting rooms is equipped with specific spaces to work and, above all, changes the vision of the room. The room can be used for work thanks to a small dedicated workstation or a table to host meetings. It tries to recreate in the hotel room the spaces used during the Covid. Therefore, it is designed in contrast to pre-covid trends that provided the design of smaller rooms and extensive common areas.
